I think this is my favorite game ever, but I still haven’t played the DLC yet (I swear I’ll get around to it someday).

I’m not sure about the reduced frights setting. Are there jumpscares? And does it eliminate them or give more warning? I’m a complete coward when it comes to jumpscares 😭

    It reduces the tension of some sections of the dlc - mostly less intense music and sfx. There’s really only one thing in the dlc you could consider jumpscares, but you can usually see coming and the “jumpscare” itself is fairly mild - nothing like a scary image popping up or anything. It’s about on par with the anglerfish imo.

    I’d keep reduced frights off and you’ll probably know if you want to turn it on while playing.
