Seriously though, stuff like this is why I have to oppose the death penalty here in the US, barring the most outlandish special scenarios (like an AG trying to kill a guy without even checking their shit first). The prospect of an innocent person being killed is morally worse to me than a violent criminal only getting life in prison or whatever non-fatal sentence.
