people who make claims like “i just don’t think about race” are
A) almost invariably white people who are not impacted by racism
and
B) are taking the path of least resistance to ‘opposing’ racism. they’re acknowledging racism is bad (sometimes) and then deciding the solution is to personally stop paying attention to race instead of actively working to stop racism
at best, this an individualist approach to a systemic issue (read: worthless). at worst, this is just a lazy excuse to continue being casually racist and go along to get along with society’s worst impulses.
And that’s a bad thing to you? lmao wth is going on here
so to be sincere for a second
