Just got my sixteen year old car back from the mechanic today. 1700$ for a cv joint, shocks, struts and an oil change. This is kinda what I get for driving a European car in the US.
Other than that my work is finally going into production this week so that’s kind of cool. Things started painfully slow at the new job.
My elderly mom is about to sell her house (maybe) but she keeps waffling about what comes next and it’s giving me anxiety. I want the best for her but her bipolar personality makes it difficult to advocate for her.
My partner might go out of town soon so I get to do whatever I want which will probably be dumb music and video games. Honestly not any different from when they’re here.

I enjoy it when my partner goes away, i dont do anything different as such, but at least i get full control of the television!!
I got dumped last Friday and I’ve spent the week largely waiting for it to sink in. I can feel it slowly encroaching on my thoughts, and sometimes I feel completely lost in it, but it’s not really “here” yet. Not got much planned for the weekend.
On the plus side, I’ve started Pilates.
I recently Pilates too! Some of the balance stuff is really hard for me but I like the challenge.
All i can say is, roll on Friday, plus i woke up this morning thinking it was Friday.

My rent increased 13% and the price to see my doctor for 5 minutes just to refill a rx went up 90%. I haven’t paid my gas bill in 4 months.
I have an initial interview tomorrow for what could end up being a very fulfilling job (if the pay is even remotely in my ballpark), and a recruiter wants to present me to his client for another job opening.

Could be worse. The summer death has officially kicked in and the outdoors feels rancid right now.
My car has been acting weird and I’ve been driving it around the past 2 months playing “breakdown roulette” with it. Dropping it off at the mechanic tonight and hoping for minimal wallet damage and nothing too extreme. It’s a 24 year old car and I’m not ready to say bye to it yet.

It’s a mixed bag. I’ve been on vacation since last weekend, but I cut it short and came home today due to spraining my ankle earlier this week
That’s a bummer! I took a vacation week last month, only to wind up spending the whole week sick. So I feel for you there. Hopefully the sprain heals quickly.
Been dealing with nicotine withdrawals which have resulted in a lack of sleep all week. But I’m getting through it.
Someone from my place of work passed away Tuesday night after being hospitalized last weekend. A solid reminder that it could be worse, so I’ll keep my complaints to a minimum.

I appreciate your encouragement. I’m doing much better now. Cravings are mostly gone, and I’ve not noticed any serious withdrawal symptoms in a few days. Last week really was the worst of it.
