If you are paying attention you know that community spaces like reddit, twitter, fb and others are becoming more commercial and more dangerous to effective communications.

For those of you that have only lived in the last 10 years of social media projects like the fediverse, including lemmy, mastodon, pixelfed, etc are a lot more like how the internet used to be. Strong communities that could connect but without needing to be the one true place for everything. The corporations running your communities are now focused on commercialized, advertised, algorithmic controversy and you should have somewhere that isn’t.
