@Azzu For a start, pick a client. For a server, try irc.libera.chat ; port 6667. For channels, run /list in your client once you are on the main server channel to find channels to /join
It’s generally a good idea to spend some time idle in a channel to see the culture; some are chatty and informal, while other channels strike hard against off-topic. All expect you to have done some homework first.
It’s also not instant. I remember one question I had took two days before an old-timer offered a suggestion.
