    @JimsPhotos@ohai.social In case you find this as interesting as I do: In German we know herring gulls too - but they are not the same birds! Your herring gulls are our “silver gulls” and our herring gulls are your “lesser black-backed gulls”.

    (I made good use of the nature guide in our Scottish holiday accommodation this summer!)
