We’ve had to remove a lot of self, blog, video posts lately and @laverabe @laverabe@lemmy.world [https://lemmy.world/u/laverabe] approached me and said “Hey, how about I make a community for those kinds of posts?” and I was like “This is lemmy, you don’t have to ask me!” But I personally think it’s a good idea! They’re currently modding it all by themselves so go easy on them! The new community is just called “Politic” which can be a little hard to search, but the more descriptive name is “Political Discussion and Commentary”. https://lemmy.world/c/politic [https://lemmy.world/c/politic] Political Discussion and Commentary [https://lemmy.world/c/politic] “A place to discuss US politics and commentary.     I’ll take you up on that. I was trying to keep moderation light/non-existent but it appears that bad actors have already arrived… I was hoping that would have taken a little longer for that to happen. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ . If it continues to be active, it’ll definitely be too much for one person. Thanks for offering to help.

    I’d like to keep any rules and changes as transparent as possible, and am a big fan of just discussing them in comments/posts so community can have input. I’m going to add one about not “whining about other mods” lol, per a comment on the other post.

        I’m ok with doing it in comments if you’d like, there might be a few exceptions but generally many minds are better at rule making than one or two.
