To be clear as a car-free Chicagoan I am more worried about drivers running me over and murdering me than I am any sort of crime. I take the red line regularly and have never had any problems other than people smoking. It’s really annoying how people are worried about theft or carjackings or whatever the fuck when we have a huge traffic violence problem here and drivers that are absolutely psychotic.
