There was a ton of depth to it until they decided there wasn’t.
It wasn’t always good, and some of it was downright awful, but it’s not like it was just a few movies and a TV show.
There is very little to the universe. Its a good vs bad story. There is no shade of gray and that is what makes things interesting.
It’s fun and all but not an IP you can do a lot with without expanding greatly.
