This is the type of smooth brain thinking that really gets under my skin.

“So what if he accepted 10 million dollars from Egypt while he was president. What does Egypt have to gain?”

“So what if he sold state secrets”

“So what if he tried to overthrow the government.”

Are you being obtuse or looking for something to get mad at?

“So what if he accepted 10 million dollars from Egypt while he was president. What does Egypt have to gain?”

That… Is not what I said. I’m wondering, if Egypt if the money came from Egyp, why they felt it necessary to do this. What is/was the return Egypt got from this deal? I’m not aware of any notable changes in Egypt-US relations during Trump’s term.

One of the first things Trump did was release $1 billion in military aid to Egypt that had beenb frozen due to Sisi’s human rights abuses. He was also one of Trump’s first guests at the Whitehouse after he was elected.

It could have easily been for secret info, or for the US to ignore something that we shouldn’t have. Or for some future favor that ended up not occurring. Either way it is an incredibly bad sign for the most powerful person in the country to be taking huge bribes from foreign nations (or anyone for that matter.)

          I… Don’t think I ever implied otherwise?

Except, of course, for that one foreign nation.
