I’d like to start a thread of what you think are your favorite odd-ball one-off or short OVA series (could even be VHS only) that others might not know about?
My favorite is Phantom Quest Corp. from 1994. A ridiculous action-comedy about an unlikely group of Spirit Hunters that includes drunk karaoke, a shy vampire who won’t drink people’s blood and a tube of lipstick that turns into a lightsaber.
I’ve not yet finished this one, but in my opinion Getter Robo: Armageddon should be more well known. When I saw the first 2 episodes, I was quite surprised that it’s so obscure given how historically important Getter is.
