I want to learn about how things became the way they are over there and what the people go through but, you know, not from someone in the CIA.
Edit: I got Iran: A Very Short Introduction from a library near me. Don’t at me. Before I’m through, gimme some recs or I’ll get another book and before you know it, I’ll have read all the lib books on Iran and y’all will have no one but yourselves to blame for turning me anti-Iran.

All The Shah’s Men by Stephen Kinzer is a good place to start to form the backdrop of contemporary Iran
