I’ve seen around 3 occasions of that this week, altho I have never seen anything like it before.

if I remember correctly they were:

  • smack talking a mod (FlyingSquid) for saying not to report the same comment twice, when they were different comments, and the report was spam
  • someone comparing .world with .ml in politics (as in there was a comment saying "this post will be overrun with .ml people, and then a comment going “but you are from .world”) (Maybe Im part of the problem? I have been called out for being a fascist because I questioned the “puching nazis” theme)
  • one more which I can’t remember.

Anyways, what is all that about? Are people really starting to hate on 50% of the lemmy population because of their instance?

    Ayo fellow anarchi-millennial…

I agree with your take on hexbear feeling like a Nazibar. You summed it up quite succinctly. So much hate there, it feels like a psyop circlejerk. Don’t get me wrong, there is a lot of hate that is well worth it, and a lot of points I agree with them on, but for fucks sake, disagree once and they grab pearls faster than the_donald. Classy bunch.

I’d argue anarchism is NOT leftist. For my money, anarchism isn’t on the classical, national assembly spectrum. My beef with leftists is that they argue a system within its own merits and wonder why nothing changes. It’s circular reasoning, leading them to false answers because capitalism is so internalized they can’t fathom throwing the whole thing out. But Wealth of Nations wasn’t even published until 1776, humanities had scores of different methods of socializing before then.

(For today’s 10000, or those that don’t know, The national assembly came out of revolutionary France. The divide was set up that on the left of the assemblage sat the bourgeois and on the right, the aristocrats. Both sides still argue for a market economy. Rejecting a market economy - hell, even insinuating a compromise that the market shouldn’t define priorities, policies, or values and just focus simply in trade is like a square idea trying to fit into a round head.)

The problem with making statements like this, is that people will immediately assume you’re some flavor of “anarcho”-capitalist.

Gross. I am not a fan of capitalism. I see what it creates and I don’t think anyone except those who the system is rigged for would design a society like this from scratch.

I don’t care about “true” capitalism or “true” communism. Imo the true forms are the ones that emerged and the others are copium, fairytales.

When it comes to thinking anyone has the right to force anyone to do anything, im not interested in fantasy.
