Was playing around with some Ai generated banner for another community and thought it would be interesting to see what would happen if I tried Lemmings doing woodworking.

Just sharing for fun. It sort of makes the lemmings look angry, lol

These are so fun! 1 and 5 are my favorites. I love how none of the tools they have are actual recognizable tools. There is sort of a vice in 3, but not exactly. Maybe the tool in 1 is supposed to be a plane?

Also I’m happy to switch out the banner if that’s what people want. I don’t have any strong feelings one way or another except that I want people to be happy and like posting and sharing here and stay in the Ten Fingers Club. There was another nice user that made our current banner and icon.

Haha yeah it has really no idea how to make tools, but it interesting to see what the ai creates.

I’m not sure. I might like these even more than the ones with lemmings and beavers.

In any case, they are all fantastic. Which gets me thinking: I wonder if the banner supports rotating through a collection of images?

Unintentional, but you are right. I think it’s the combination of the aspect ratio I used and the prompt to have them a woodworking bench. I wouldn’t be surprised if the ai referenced last supper somewhere in it’s algorithm.

Looks great, I’m curious what one would look like with beavers though, keeping the “rodent” theme from lemmings but one that’s known for its ability to actually work with wood.

Haha love it. I do think I prefer it over the lemmings, despite being pretty similar. They just look more like a stereotypical woodworker.

OK, I have a few requests if you got some free time ☺️.

        1. Got a DIY Audio comm, would like something related to audio, like one lemming cutting wood for a speaker box, the other solering something on a PCB… this is my idea, I am open to suggestions amd other ideas.

        2. Angry Upvote… this is a tough one… maybe take the angry upvote meme template as an idea.

        3. Printers. Maybe one lemming is battling with a printer, papers flying around, the printer is growling, sgowing teeth, trying to byte the lemming. There is a cord comming from the printer, the other lemming is trying to connect the printer to a PC, but the PC is scared of being plugged in that thing, lol 😂.

Also, why don’t you just share how you make the AI images (maybe the process is simple enough for anyone to actually do it) and we can maybe do them ourselves, not bother others to do them instead 😉.

I use Midjourney for Ai image generation. I believe it requires a subscription now, but maybe you could do a free trial and create what you need. The prompt needs to be more general than what you were describing, or you need to spend a ton of time generating images to match the description.

You could possibly just post requests on the AI communities too

      Getting started: https://docs.midjourney.com/docs/quick-start

Man, you went above and beyond, thank you so much for this ☺️ 🤗!

Aaah, I see, I’ll see if I can sign up for a free trial 👍.

I saw some of them, but I thought they only shared AI generated images, I didn’t know I could request one, lol.

No problem, I am just learning how to use it so it’s fun to try and figure these out. Some of the stuff that gets spit out is pretty entertaining too. Here were some of the failures from your printer one:

It was not until this moment that I realized that “Lemmy” was a reference to lemmings and not to, eg, the lead singer of Hawkwind and Motorhead.

And now I’m thinking about this.
