    I don’t doubt these statistics. But there are also plenty of progressive Christians who don’t think like this. I personally work with a whole slew of 'em

      Definitely. There’s a difference between evangelical Christians and progressive Christians. Evangelicals consider themselves “born again” and are usually very conservative and staunchly Republican and are usually Trump supporters. Those are the ones mentioned here.

        Yep I was just trying to vocalize the broader point about non-evangelical progressive Christians because there seems to be an awful lot of anti-christian rhetoric on Lemmy and many users likely wouldn’t recognize that nuance.
