    Same for TV ads opposing our Amendment 4 in Florida. Just so much demonstrably false info. Early in the election ads ramp-up, there was one that actually showed the full text of the amendment on-screen, while making false claims about it in the voiceover.

    They’re pandering to a base that does not care about facts, and who often will not even bother to read what is put in front of them.

      Yep heard a pair of ads yesterday against amendments 3 and 4 and both just straight up lied about what was contained in the amendments. 4 in particular is just a really basic amendment that you can read in its entirety in less than a minute. The short summary is that it completely banned abortion restrictions except specifically in the case of a minor, and then that requires guardian consent. Which of course is exactly what the ad blatantly lied about claiming it would allow abortions without guardian consent. How is it not illegal to lie like that in political ads? This isn’t even bending the truth or saying something misleading, it’s demonstrably false.
