Looks like there is a whole instance dedicated to sports stuff including MLB and already has a bot up and running for mariners stuff.
Found it while digging around trying to build a bot and thought people here might be interested.

Okay with me! Unfortunately not much non-bot content over there, but maybe moving there would help with that problem
