My family is planning on taking a visit to Utah, see Antelope Valley, maybe some hiking and mountain biking. I’ve seen beautiful pictures of Utah and know there is lots to do but are there any specific suggestions y’all have? We’re gonna be staying at Lake Powell so any attractions around there would be great. I want to make the most out of my experience.
Sorry It’s been 8 days since your post (just found this community).
Looks like Lake Powell is right near Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument
Bryce Canyon is further (trippy says about 3 hours from Lake Powell)
About 5 hours away from Lake Powell is Zion National Park
Moab area is further, but you have both Arches and Canyonlands National Parks
Not sure how far you’d want to drive. On the north eastern end of the state is Dinosaur National Monument
Salt Lake and most major cities are in the north west area of the state. Hope that help
Wow thanks for all the information. I’ll definitely be checking these out.
Apart from the hiking and mountain biking, what other activities do you think my family should do?
Sorry for any delay. St. George (near Zions) has a decently large taxidermy museum.
Monticello (south of St. George) has a really cool Nativr culture exhibit.
Everything else I know is around the Wasatch front (Provo and north along i 15).
If you go there, you could go tobthe zoo, the aquarium, Temple Square, and whatever else is in Salt Lake. I thibk you can tour thr conference center.
Further north is Lagoon (amusement park), Antelope Island (park in the middle of the Salt Lake), and the Junction in Ogden for pretend sky diving and surfing. If you go that far, waterfall canyon is abnice, relatively easy, hike.
Will definitely hit up waterfall canyon since we’ll be in Antelope Island
