Johnson, whose three-year term as the prime minister of the United Kingdom overlapped for two years with Trump’s first term as president, discussed this at the Forum. He said that Trump was “pretty tough,” on Vladimir Putin when he was in the Oval Office.

But he said that the Republican party has “homoerotic fascination with Putin, which I personally don’t share.”

He continued: “Some of these people think he’s an all-around stand-up guy and they love his manly Christianity.”

“It’s complete nonsense. He’s a tyrant and a kleptocrat and a murderer and a very, very dangerous and bad man.”

I’m honestly more alarmed at the thought of “manly Christianity” than “tyrant” or “murderer” in this context.

Putin really set himself away from leaders before him by bonding with the Orthodox church in Russia.

Creepy when you realize the roman empire’s weird ghost still lingers across the land in the form of Christianity
