Regardless, I wonder if he should get a presidential pardon for doing his job - we don’t need the chilling affect of the justice system used for him personal spite or revenge

How so? I’m trying to understand if you think these charges didn’t warrant an investigation in the first place, or you are only saying this in hindsight of Trump’s reelection.

It was all bluster, and ultimately, no one was held to account except for the littlest guys. Most of them probably moments away from full pardons. I’m just hoping they do enough damage and leave us enough to build back from. If we manage to get through it and even if the next person is 8 years a democrat it will ultimately be more of the same divisive bullshit. I’m just ready to watch it all burn at this point. If he can’t be held accountable, it’s all fucked and a waste. Just a mirage to calm the plebs while the rich and powerful get to do whatever they want. That’s not the America I was sold.

You’re crazy if you think trump will actually pardon his followers. He hates them. He’ll only pardon people who can pay him.

It wasn’t bluster, it was effort. You’re making that determination based on hindsight. If trump hadn’t won, which they can’t control, then progress would have continued.
