    I think these folks should do what the CUPE workers did in Ontario in the face of back-to-work legislation in 2023 - ignore it and go on strike. Perhaps they’re waiting for the lawsuit to resolve whether the gov’t has the power to do what it does first. If they keep complying with the gov’t actions long term, the unions will lose more of their power.

    Pretty sure Trudeau does not expect to get elected at this point and is doing whatever benefits him the most from now on.

      How does this benefit him though? Having the ports open benefits the country and the executive class at the expense of the employees, but it doesn’t directly affect Trudeau.

      It DOES benefit Pollievre though.

        I wouldn’t be surprised if he or his party received some kind of donation. It’s how these things work a lot of the time.
