    I need more info. How old is Marucci? Why does he need a teddy? Will he ever be released?

      I can answer the second question based on the caption from the Lubee Bat Conservancy. The teddy is for enrichment:

      Variable Flying Fox, Marucci, is doubly enriched for #SundayFunday today! Whether it is going to the gym, reading a book, or trying out a new food, we humans enrich our lives in a variety of different ways. At Lubee, we want to make sure that our bats are enriched, as well! The bats at Lubee receive a unique enrichment item each day. Our enrichment items fall into one of five different categories: Cognitive, Social, Food, Sensory, and Physical. Because Marucci’s watermelon is inside of a net, he must strategize and think a little bit harder about how to eat it, making it a cognitive enrichment item today!
