I understand teasing hipoint owners for buying garbage guns, but Taurus is actually reliable. Why do people look down on Taurus?

Nowadays? Taurus isn’t that bad. Their reputation, however, is not great due to their past with reliability issues and generally not great products. An older Taurus 1911 would’ve had a stiff trigger pull whereas a modern would would be inline with modern-ish standards (haven’t gotten one in the shop in a while, if I had to guess it’d be about a 5lb trigger pull). New manufacture G3 and G3Cs have had close to no issues in terms of what customers have been saying.

Bottom line. Would I recommend a Taurus firearm in terms of sales, today? 50/50. It depends on the firearm.

      I just bought a taurus G2C.

is the trigger pull and reset my favorite? No. It’s way too long on both ends. But you’ve gotta compromise somewhere when you’re cheap like me. The important thing is it’s a consistent gun that doesn’t jam (if you can handle the recoil, and I can), with good capacity, and strong enough to kill anyone threatening me.

Maybe. But why is Taurus analogous to having only one shoe?

Lol no, it’s a mean spirited kids game. You ask the new kid if he wants to play “kick the kid with one shoe” and when they ask “what’s that” you steal their shoe and beat the hell out of them. It’s a bit like smear the queer but with a friendlier name.

That makes a lot more sense.
