    Yes, they meant “Twitter is putting up barriers to browsing content.” Even if paywall wasn’t the right word, their intent was clear. Not sure why we feel the need to dive into whether they used the right word when the issue is Twitter (and Meta) attempting to seal off their users’ content behind a login. Most everyone seems to have understood them.

        Did you misunderstand what they meant in the context of the post? No? Then there was no reason to have a multi-day meltdown because OP misunderstood what a word meant.
