Try it out. Save your comment even if it doesn’t show up as a link. It will be converted into a link upon saving the comment.

That’s a nice QoL update. Do you know what happens if you link to an instance/community that is not federated with current instance yet? Will it start federating after posting, will the link be broken (404) or will it not create link?
Since update v.0.18 it will search for the remote community in a transparent way and have it show up. That is amazing <3
This works within lemmy, but If you’re annoyed with posts all over the internet going to different instances and not your home instance, then I have something for you :) I made this userscript (Lemmy post), which rewrites all links everywhere to always point to your home instance, so you don’t need to mess with copy/pasting URLs anywhere and so on :)
