Hello birders!
I don’t have a cool bird pic for you today, but I’m wondering if anyone has some recommendations for good birding festivals you know about? My wife and I are relatively new birders and have greatly enjoyed a couple festivals that we tried out, so I’d love to add the list of ones we should try to make it to.
Would love to hear any mildly related stories as well!

Thanks for the link! We don’t, but it would be awesome if we could somehow make it work as we also heard about a couple in South American countries that looked awesome. We were wondering if we could just kind of shuffle along following the finger pointing 😂
I’m in the southeast US - last year we made it over to both the Black Belt festival in central Alabama, and also for the Alabama Coastal Birdfest in the Mobile area
They were responsive to my emails and said there would be english speakers there! I don’t think that should stop you from going!!
Did you go to Dauphin Island?
We did! It was amazing and we meant to go back on our own time for spring migration, but work didn’t allow it unfortunately.
Have you been there also?
I haven’t yet but would love to go. Tons of my friends/colleagues keep recommending during the migration season!
