Audible has a huge library of audiobooks and is incredibly easy to use. An audible subscription allows you one free book per month and allows you access to any book within their special library for audible members, it’s a huge library too! Obviously the largest con is that you don’t “own” the content you purchase, as is the way with any content streaming service, but pausing or cancelling my subscription doesn’t seem to stop me from being able to access audiobooks I previously purchased which is nice.
Thanks!
No problem! As awful as Amazon can be, audible is generally a great service and well worth the cost
I’m a very heavy user of audible (truck driver) for a couple years and I’m happy with it. Theres a very good selection in the plus catalogue which is included with your membership and you also receive a credit for any other book from the full catalogue (which is massive btw) each month. Beyond that I buy my credits in a 3 pack for $38 (it only offers you the 3 pack if you’re down to your last credit) so anything cheaper than $12 I buy outright and anything over $12 I use a credit which is handy because I’ve seen some audiobooks for $35 or more.
Audible is great, but also check out Libby and your local library. New, popular titles tend to have long queues, but I always check Libby before buying from Audible. Most libraries also have a “suggest a book” option if there is something on Audible that your library doesn’t have in Libby, and I’ve been lucky that my local library is fast to accept and fill requests.
thank you for your thoughts
