Don’t get me wrong in theory that would be great. Reliably holding people causing delays in public transport responsible would be fantastic.
But I don’t know if the percentage of people doing it out of negligence or ill will is high enough to justify such a measure. Some may be simply unaware, so better marking/signage may be sufficient. For some it may be beyond their control. I’m not convinced a machine learning system can achieve satisfying sensitivity and specificity in determining the actual culprit.

Legally, each violation should be reviewed by a law enforcement officer before a citation is issued, much like a red-light-camera ticket.
Wouldn’t it be better if the bus driver press a button or something when they see a traffic violation. A video gets recorded, and a ticket sent?
