    Hard agree, but it was mercantilism not capitalism. Distinctively different due to reliance in trade circles, colonial holdings and exploitation of overseas resources.

        Mercantilism is when the rich have sugar, capitalism is when you have too much sugar.

        As is reliance on trade circles. I literally just read an article about how climate change is threatening the Panama Canal, as well as heavily trafficked rivers like the Mississippi and the Yangtze, which would have a huge global impact.

        We also still have colonial holdings, and even the places that aren’t colonies anymore are still exploited

    I mean Davey Jones’s redeeming quality was it was supposed to be out of line, he came off as a tired and bitter old man. The EITC just were exploitive assholes
