How do you become aware of an artist because they release a crowd-funded cat sample version of their latest album, find out the cat version is really damn good, that the original is far better, and end up having your interest in hip hop rekindled?

Sometimes things are quite ok here in the stupid future

Yeah. Meow the Jewels is when I found 9ut about them and I’ve been following ever since. RTJ helped me realize that there was still good hip hop out there and that I just stopped knowing where to find it.

Now I’ve been more educated with modern artist and enjoy it.

I feel that RTJ is one of the only groups that properly mixed electronics with hip hop and it still sounded cool. We go a lot of bad EDM/HipHop crossovers in the 2010s.

I haven’t heard it in awhile, but put it on after I saw your comment. Solid pick. I always loved DDFH myself

The first two albums were great, the third was okay at best and the fourth had a single good track. Overall, they’re a good group.
