I needed stitches on my thumb but like i’m not supposed to keep it wet but also i wear gloves that fill with sweat, so, what’s the best way to deal with that

Id post in the megathread but it’s at 23 hours and despite me complaining repeatedly about the chilling effect the megathread cycle has on posting at the end of the day it’s still in effect

    Oversized gloves w/ a rubber band at the back, lots of guaze, and frequent changing. Powdered gloves will get into the wound & scar so avoid those.

      This. Gauze and change it often. Let it dry before changing the gauze. If your boss gives you shit try to explain that this will help it heal faster so you don’t have to keep doing this as frequently. Good luck.

    Maybe have a sick day so you can leave it exposed for a day so it can start healing some before having to gauze and tape etc. Yeah it’s not that bad but the type of work you do apparently directly affects the area where you are injured and the gloves etc are going to possibly hinder the healing process.
