Why does every Netflix production look like its filmed through sunglasses?
You’re right, I thought it might be for the contrast from open water to inside buildings, but it’s probably just the color designer they like.
Not a One Piece fan, but I get that a lot of people are really into it.
Just one question: did fans actually want a live action show, or is this just another show fans didn’t ask for?
Just the idea of it is absurd honestly. On the crew, we have a reindeer, a cyborg, a skeleton and the world gets even more absurd from there. It also has the most compelling backstory to an adult wearing a full baby outfit. So it really shouldnt work with live action as the medium because it is a lot to take in. Ill probably try to watch some of my favorite scenes to see if it works.
But hey, if it gets more people into One Piece im all up for it. The live action will not turn off any existing fans so it can only go up from there.
Well, some fans were happy cause a live action is a new way to experience the story they love and it might reach more people than the anime thus creating new fans. Others were worried since live action anime adaptations often fail miserably in all fronts and no one wants to see that happening. Overall I’d say this show is not something most fans wanted but now that the trailers are out they have won a lot of people over.
