Just another take, smoking and sky diving aren’t things that you are. These are things you do. Statistics shows us these things can be dangerous. What of statistics for dangers of surgery, something the individual may do. Sure, you bet. Medicine needs? Could be.
What of objective metrics for the danger(s) of transitioning children under age of consent? Some think this is a bad thing and some think it’s a good thing. Is it overall good or bad for the individual? This is an opportunity to use the tool of the scientific method to reveal truths to all. It should be studied, the whole thing. All aspects. The more this is studied, we’ll eventually uncover some indisputable facts. We’ll no longer have to rely on what individuals (with lots of biases) think. We’ll actually know. I think the community would like everyone to know, also.
We may find there is good and there is bad. We can assign the ratios of good and bad, to levels of risk. Which then can be used as helpful information for the individual, caretakers, and their healthcare professionals in making decisions.
