Hey everyone! I realized there wasn’t yet a dedicated space on Lemmy for achievement hunting. So, I decided to create !steamachievements, even though this is my first time starting a community.
I encourage you all to post about your accomplishments, ask for advice on those tricky achievements, share your journey towards 100% game completion, or offer tips to fellow members.
To kick things off, share an achievement you’re proud of or one that’s been giving you a hard time!

I just want to say bless modders for making “achievements unlocked” for single player games which disable them by default when modded. Especially when I usually just apply bug fixing modes or minor QOL changes
I’ve never encountered one of these on Steam. But when I was still on xbox I do remember that Fallout 4 would disable achievements if you started the game with mods. And there was no way to fix it. Even if you removed the mod, that save file still wouldn’t earn achievements :/
That’s ROUGH oh my gosh. Bannerlord and Fallout 4 both have workshop mods (steam) that re-enable achievements, though. It’s not a huge deal to me but on my 4th playthrough I realize I could have gotten some pretty niche ones, so enabling them is nice.
As for Xbox, they might have a tighter grip on achievements if gamerscore is still a thing.
