“The CDC does not mandate anything,” says Dr. Anthony Fauci. But if a Covid surge leads to a recommendation that people wear masks, “I hope they would abide by the recommendation and take into account the risks to themselves and to their families. We are not talking about forcing anybody to do anything.”

You are responsible for your behavior. And if your knowingly behave in a way that harms others, that’s on you. So if you know you have Covid and you go to the grocery store, that’s your behavior, and yea, you are responsible.
If you choose not to wear a mask, and contract an illness, that’s your responsibility as well. See how these are all things you can choose to do or not do? Very elementary grade stuff really. Like washing your hands after using the restroom. Which I’m sure you also choose to do, right?
