Not exactly. She had a reasonably major role as Harry’s love interest in HBP. While this basic story line was included in the movie, they cut most of her good scenes and replaced them with terrible ones (e.g. “open up, you” and “shoelace”).
Most of the interesting or important Ginny scenes from the last three books were omitted from the movies. Examples that spring to mind are “That was stupid of you” (OotP), “I told her it was a Hungarian Horntail” (HBP), “forgot to brake” (HBP), Dumbledore’s funeral (HBP), and Harry’s birthday (DH).
They cut a lot of her appearances and storyline in Order and Halfbloodprince.
Ah, my bad, like I said I was reading the books around the time Death Hallows came out and haven’t since then
