    I skimmed around the nsfw bit. Feel free to give feedback, I haven’t written in years.

    Here:

    It was a bad idea. We knew it was a bad idea, but we were drunk and horny. A bet over a coin toss, marked with a blood seal so we couldn’t back out. And I bet heads, and it landed tails.

    And suddenly, for 24 hours I was his slave.

    I don’t remember much from that night, but I know we got busy. I woke up in a puddle of dried cum and sweat, with a nasty hangover. I was cuddling him, and my arm was completely asleep.

    The worrying bit was when I tried to pull away, I couldn’t. He stirred slightly, and said “let me sleep” without even opening his eyes, and promptly fell back asleep. I wanted to shake him, to say something, do anything to wake him up, but I had to let him sleep.

    I don’t know how long it was, but it felt like hours, my head pounding, my arm numb, feeling like I was going to throw up, but that would wake him up so I couldn’t. Just pure torment.

    Eventually he stirred again. His eyes opened slightly, bloodshot. “Morning honey” he said. He started getting up and found me struggling to keep cuddling him. “Love ya too, but I gotta get up. Can you let go?”

    “Tell me to”

    “Oh… let go of me.” He said, in a sort of tired, not fully comprehending voice, one I knew well.

    And just like that I was free! I immediately ran to the bathroom to vomit. I drank some water from the bathroom sink, as my arm slowly came back to life.

    It was a rough, rough morning. And I had 14 hours to go.

      And you have now posted Literature Cafe’s first writing prompt response.

      I like it. The drunken blood pact, the hangover, and the slowly dawning regret… they all make the setting seem real.

        You know, I think skimming the nsfw bit really helped it. Helped sell the drunken bit, and didn’t distract by me trying to make it sexy.

        I also realized that the protag doesn’t have a gender, or any description what so ever, and all he has is a pronoun. I think I might play with vagueness some more, it feels tight.

      I… don’t know. I just post prompts here. The only mention of rules I can find in the sidebar is, “follow the instance rules”

      … and the only mention of NSFW in the instance rules is,

      Please, no visual porn. (Smut and discussion of smut is OK as long as it is tagged as NSFW.)

      so… I imagine it’s okay if you start with a warning that it’s NSFW? Also, maybe wrap your response in spoiler tags. (I know a lot of the lemmy apps haven’t yet implemented spoiler tags, but it’s still worth the attempt.)

      @gabe@literature.cafe , do you have a preference one way or the other?
