This often took the form of school board candidates. One by one at the local middle schools and high schools. Right-gang members came to board meetings, intimidating and fighting people. Many rightwing psychos won their race and became school board members. Which then made life hell for the queer, minority and progressive students and teachers. They began to stage ‘walk-outs’ and protests. Which often ignited brawls, fighting, police response and arrests (of children).
