Since there is a single post, i think it would be better to populate by starting with sub-optimal pics
If you’re interested in growing an astrophotography community, I made one before !astrophotgraphy@lemmy.fmhy.ml but after talking to the mods of the Reddit astrophotography sub I started pointing everyone to here (I’m the only one before you that posted anything though). They don’t seem interested in growing this place though, so we can try and grow the other one if you’d like, as I am way more active and have a sub, !spaceporn@lemmy.fmhy.ml with almost 2K subscribers.
Cool! Subbed there too!
Thanks, there’s not much there yet either, but I think I’m more active in lemmy than the mods here. We’ll get it going
Nice! I’ve been trying to post some of mine but they are too big to upload…
If you post them to another site like imgur, astrobin, or Flickr you can add an embedded link to the post and it’ll show the image without having to upload it. Post away!
Yeah, I know. I’ve been too lazy to create an account and actually do it.
Oh gotcha. If you haven’t been on Astrobin yet I highly recommend it. There’s some insanely talented astrophotographers on there.
Dude, you just reminded me I have an old Astrobin account that I posted things on a while ago. I’ll have to link some of those! I only ever did a little Astrophotography and haven’t done any for a while, but I’d love to get back into it.
Awesome. Post them, I’d like to check them out. I haven’t been doing it for very long and don’t have much to share yet, but it’s a fun hobby.
Looks good. I don’t think it’s sub-optimal at all, you can see the Orion nebula here!
