It was december and raining a lot. I made a route using both komoot and RWGPS (the latter to confirm tricky spots with streetview). Still, information wasn’t up to date and had to make a huge detour.
Bah … road closed signs are for cars. I’d have done the same thing!
Aah you are a person of culture too. Nice, I like it.
Great photos!
Thanks!
Worth it. I’d too cover my bike for those views mate!
Oh wow that clay looks great for doing pottery, haha.
I have to look for myself too, with these road closed signs. Few weeks ago in east germany i kept going for a few km then ended up right behind an people rolling asphalt, it was super sticky and i might even have carved a small track into the surface. I then quickly turned around before i could get screamed at.
Real nice photos. Makes me want to tour, and i think i am going to do it this thursday for a long weekend. Before autumn kicks in.
Actually i don’t really have fully arrived in the working life again.
Haha yeah I could have filled my whole cupboard with just the clay on my chainstay. I can still hear the chain making cracking and peeping noises in my nightmares haha.
Apparently it’s an unwritten rule that as a cyclist, you just have to see for yourself! Good call to make a qyick tour before the real autumn starts, I can imagine you have sort lf a ‘touring jetlag’ after you summer adventure!
I think you should always ignore road closed signs on a bike - you can usually get past whatever obstructs the road and the whole section should be very peaceful. That mud looks like it should be very good for your skin too haha
Haha the problem was that it also wat a scrub for the carbon frame, not ideal. But it was still really awesome
