What is the benefit of punishment?

Why are you so hung up on it as opposed to rehabilitation?

Shouldn’t the focus be on forming people into persons who no longer harm people and are in fact contributing members of society?

I think nazis should be punched in the face until such time as they are no longer nazis.

I believe in restorative justice and do not believe a person “being punished” does anything to restore or make victims whole.

Further, I think this desire to see harm done on people leads to many of the problems you claim to be against.

A person being punished does nothing for society.

Really? Here I thought salivating to see children locked in cages forever was what marked a person filth.

To be clear: I do not believe your story about your nephew.
I think you are a liar.

If your story is factual (which again, I doubt) then you are clearly hurt, and I wish healing on you as much as on your nephew.
While you’re still raw and swimming in rivers of rage maybe you shouldn’t be establishing corrections policy.
