The President of the European Commission proposed to allocate €50 billion to Kyiv over the next 4 years for investments and reforms

Ursula von der Leyen stated this in her annual address “On the State of the European Union”.

The President of the European Commission also recalled that as part of its support for Ukraine, this year alone the EU provided €12 billion to pay wages and pensions to “help maintain the operation of hospitals, schools and other services.”

“Through our proposal, we are increasing ammunition production to help meet Ukraine’s immediate needs, but we are also looking ahead. That is why we have proposed an additional €50 billion over more than four years for investment and reform. This will help build the future of Ukraine, rebuilding a modern and prosperous country, and that future is clear to see. This house (the European Parliament) said it out loud: the future of Ukraine lies in our Union,” von der Leyen noted.
