I’d probably have the line do some damage too, or have it cost less so it could be used in more combos for the kits that have it. Also make aiming with it actually match weapon crosshairs, or show a crosshair for it at all, honestly.
both of those sound pretty good! i’ve heard that the crosshair weirdness is baked into it, like this post shows. but if they gave it its own mini-crosshair, that would help a lot
