Half of their most current videos feature Tucker Carlson, a well known Russian and Right wing sock puppet, and white supremacist and neo-nazi supporter, and the other half seem to follow the latest right wing media trends as they occur.
There is no official Anonymous channel
This is what I clicked this thread to say. It doesn’t make any sense. There is no official “anonymous” organization so there can’t be an official Youtube channel.
Having an official YouTube channel seems to be kind of counter Anonymous.
That said, they come from 4chan and that has mostly been right wing for the last decade or so.
A bunch of teenagers all over the planet certainly don’t have “official YouTube channels.”
The way I always understood it, there are two Anonymous channels, one left and one right. The former focusing on humanitarian aspects of activism while the other one on fighting authoritarianism and whatnot. But of course this interpretation can be wrong. Nevertheless, Anonymous is fractured, and it’s sad that a group that prided itself on decentralization didn’t see the fracture coming. Anonymous is just cliques now.
Why are you calling Tucker Carlson a white supremacist?
Probably because he is one.
For years he’s been saying things things that white supremacists love to hear: White people are being replaced; legal and illegal immigrants are ruining the US; George Soros hates the west and wants society to collapse (anti-semites love that one); immigrants are dirty, uncivilized; a race war is imminent; anything done to acknowledge racism is racist; BLM protests were violent riots; mass-shooters with racist manifestos aren’t white supremacists; etc.
There are several instances of him associating with and boosting white supremacists online, and even his show’s long-time top writer was pressured to quit after explicitly racist online posts came to light.
This page does a fairly good job of cataloging the sorts of rhetoric he’s used that’re amicable to white supremacists.
So your case that Tucker Carlson is a shire supremacist can be summarized as:
- Someone he once worked with posted racist stuff online (from your first link)
- Some white supremacists are fans of him, and this counts against him despite the fact that: “There’s no evidence that Carlson shares the bigoted worldview of some of his biggest fans” according to the article cited by the article cited by the article in your second link.
That’s a very weak case. Do you realize that?
In one case he was associated with someone who allegedly posted racist stuff online (I haven’t tracked that claim back to see if it’s true), and that person got fired from Carlson’s staff when those allegations came to light. In the other case the association is a one-way association, where some “alt-right” people have posted memes that say you can’t cuck the tuck, hence he’s a white supremacist.
As a level of evidence this is weak as fuck. You should be ashamed to stand behind this as a case, and if you’re actually convinced based off this that he’s a white supremacist you’re allowing yourself to be someone else’s bulldog. You’re being used to spread misinformation.
My case chiefly rests on his years of white supremacist rhetoric — which you didn’t address. I mentioned those other two bits at the end of my comment. On their own, I agree, they are slightly concerning but not damning; but in the context of his show’s content and rhetoric, they are.
