The drake companion of a drakewarden ranger acts immediately after the ranger. The ranger needs to use their bonus action to command the drake, else it defaults to the dodge action.

I want to know if it’s possible for the ranger to ready an attack, commanding the drakewarden to use the help action against an enemy. The rangers attack triggers on the drakes action, giving the ranger advantage on the attack.

Wouldn’t the drakes action for that turn be “Help” not “Attack” so the rangers attack triggers never?

Okay. Semantics. I would have the trigger be the drake engaging with the enemy?

Then yes I believe that works. If you are close enough you might be able to trigger the drakes infused strikes with it also.
