Fox Corporation and News Corp. announced on Thursday that Rupert Murdoch is stepping down as board chair of both while his son Lachlan Murdoch takes over both positions.

Sept. 21 (UPI) – Rupert Murdoch will step down as board chair of Fox and News Corp. and be succeeded by his eldest son, Lachlan Murdoch, the companies announced Thursday.

      Don’t feel bad. When he fucked off to the U.S he renounced his Australian citizenship.

      Clearly being a megalomaniac was more important to him.

      If he did, I can see the next few things following immediately after:

      1. Rebranding to X News
      2. Adding the news segments as videos on X (formerly Twitter)
      3. Pushing the news on users, much like he pushes his own Tweets
      4. Dropping cable television broadcasting because the FCC and regulations go against his “free speech absolutist” values.
