I’m so excited to see your work :) Unfortunately my stuff is still packed away, but I’m itching to pull it all out

Hooray! Thanks for setting this up, and thanks to @juniper@feddit.uk for telling me about it!

Apparently you can’t add images to a comment via URL, only to top level posts. Hmm. Unless I’m missing something.

But here’s a little seahorse friend from the Caterpillar Cross Stitch “Ocean Wonder” set that I just started on Wednesday. He’s since been joined by most of two fish and part of a turtle but I have no pics of them yet 😄

Edit: Fixed the image, hurrah! Ty to Juniper for the tech support.

No problem! Your seahorse is very cute. I’m (slowly cos I haven’t touched it for weeks) working on the Garden Birds trio set from Vervaco. I don’t have any pictures but I’ll try and remember to take one when I next do a bit.

OOOHHHH that is just the cutest little seahorse! I looked up the pattern, I really like the whale too haha.

I didn’t know you can’t add pics in comments, I wonder why that is?

Most people can upload images in comments just fine. It’s just that my instance has a really low upload size limit so I couldn’t do that from my phone yesterday.

And turns out even though you can make a post by adding the URL of an image (rather than uploading it directly), you can’t do that in comments. Boooo.

I might have to figure out how to add that to lemmy as a pull request because I have a LOT of craft pics to share haha 😅

(p.s. yes I am really looking forward to the whale!)

Ooh nice! I did try that yesterday but probably just did it wrong because phone typing is hard 😂

Looked up those patterns, what a cute set! Are they full coverage or are the white bits left empty? Either way they’d probably take me a fair while too, everyone stitches at their own pace!

Did you paste the image address ending with .jpg / .png whatever? I was confused and tried to use the URL at first which doesn’t work. The white bits are left empty but I’m considering getting some white thread and filling it anyway because I think it’ll give a nicer finish.

Full disclosure I was in a bubblebath while trying to do it so probably just sausage-fingered a typo in there somewhere and didn’t notice lol
