With the aim of this community being (monetarily) helping those in need, it seems like it would be a prime target for scammers trying to get money out of people when they don’t actually need it. How do you avoid this?

What? I wasn’t saying that any particular person was asking in bad faith, I was just asking about how this community deals with scammers in general.
Apparently they shun any idea that this is possible lol. Let them get scammed.
