You cant afford paying half rent? You cant afford going to eat out together, to go on trips or to buy gifts? Do you know that you can only keep them company, give them your love and emotions, but you know that doesnt set you apart from the herd?

I mean, I currently have to pay full rent. So paying only half the rent would allow for plenty of funds to eat out or buy gifts.

    So not really, no.

Yeah unless you’re partner is inconsiderate and/or doesn’t pull their own weight, being in a committed relationship should be much cheaper. Fact is, two people can live for only a little bit more than it costs a single person to live

Yeah I’m kind of confused as to what is being said here lol? How are they living for free right now, and why would dating someone mess up that arrangement?

Also, dating is not “going out to eat and buying gifts and going on trips”….it’s such a tragedy that people have these ideas beamed into their brains by commercials

Also, dating is not “going out to eat and buying gifts and going on trips”

It’s actually quite a foreign concept. Like, I just glossed over it here becase the question wasn’t quite fleshed out anyway, but it’s something I only know from American media. I’ve never done this kind of cliche dating.

It just felt the “why would paying 50% rent be a negative financial factor” question was more pressing.
